That imagery has always been evocative to me--its always in the back of my mind whenever I go stargazing. Then the neighbors kid starts playing the trumpet and I run to Church!
I am fascinated by time travel stories, tv, and movies. Even though they usually end poorly or not at all (tv.) I think this was the coolest “future” ending I have read so far.
Thank you! If you like time travel stories, you might enjoy my other time travel story which I put in for Lunar Awards Season 2! Check it out here: https://gibberish.substack.com/p/its-about-time
If I had a time machine, I'd go to July 2, 1776, and listen to John Adams' speech making the case for American independence; apparently everyone was so enraptured by the speech that they forgot to take notes. I've always liked Adams, and David McCullough called it the greatest speech of his life. I'd kinda want to hear that.
My most challenging book is a hybrid spirituality/self-development book called Concentration. The first half is the author's thoughts on meditation and Eastern spiritual practices - easy enough - but the second half is a serious of increasingly difficult concentration building exercises. I've never made it past the 3rd exercise.
Are the exercises simple to share? What are the first three exercises? That's fascinating. There's a book about meditation that I have but it's serious business. It feels like it SHOULDN'T be so difficult but concentration/meditation is probably one of the most important things we can do for our own sanity.
Actually, now that I say that I was just making notes to myself about what my ideal day is like. Need to add something....
Oh wow! That would be a sight to behold. Well done.
Thank you for reading!
Oooo. Chills. I like this very much. I've always thought the image of "rolled back like a scroll" is a little too terrifying to sing the way we do. 😂

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Don't you just hate it when you time travel and found yourself in the End of the Age?
#EMBARASSING!
Believe in the Name of Jesus and you will be saved. There is no other name under heaven that provides salvation.
Blessings.
Fun story! Thank you.

Concentration is a hard thing! I'll see if I can track the book down a bit later, stay tuned
