1. I'm not sure if I have a favorite statue/sculpture, although the Thinker's right up there, especially as there's a bronze cast of it at the University of Louisville within line of sight of the law school where I went. :)
2. Erm.... let me think...it's been a minute.
3. Possibly?
I've heard of David; I don't think I know the Veiled Virgin. I'll have to look that up. Also if that happened to me I would probably scream and run away; I've seen enough Doctor Who to know that living statues are bad news.
There's a whole genre of marble statues that look texture-realistic. There's one where a greek gods hand is on a womans leg and there's indentations that make it look soft--just mind boggling stuff. The Veiled Virgin looks like you could pull away the veil and see the statue hidden underneath. It's insane!
And I went to our Natural Science museum with our kiddos + my father in law like… two weeks ago? It’s the one I used to work at, with a paleontology hall the size of a football field 😍
I don't particulary have a favorite statue. Although ever since that Dr Who episde Blink and the Weeping Angles, I'll never look at statues the same way again!
I used to work at the Art Institute in Chicago, so it was really nice that I was able to wander about on my breaks, visiting my favorite paintings whenever I wanted.
1. Probably the Townley bust of Hadrian. The artist carved Hadrian's distinctive wrinkles into his ear. Now that's attention to detail. Plus, he's heroically Roman-looking.
2. Beyond memory. Eternities. Forever. Too long, in other words.
3. While I love this one's theme, I'm barred until the next season. They've officially labeled me, "A disturber of the peace."

Veiled Virgin (if this is the one I’m thinking of) is WILD
1. The "Golden Boy", located on top of the Manitoba Legislature in Winnipeg.
2. A long time.
3. No.
Woah okay this was fun!

Alright then, keep your secrets!
1. I like this one a lot: https://www.sculpturebytps.com/miniature-sculptures/christian-collection/a-quiet-moment/
2. November of 2023, I went to the Children's Museum of Phoenix.
3. I don't know. I haven't checked it out.
"David "which I had the pleasure of seeing in Rome left me awestruck.
