The State of Gibberish
I mentioned previously that I was going through a high stress thing in November and I got through it and survived! Weekly exercises continued, as have the weekly chats.
Last year, I took December off from the weekly exercises and flash fiction. I am going to do this again—so Tuesday 12/3 will be the last exercise until the new year. This should free up some space for working on some projects I’ve got on the backburner. In fact I will go ahead and commit to holding off on weekly exercises until 2/1/25. It’ll help to have a wide berth while I get my act together ahead of the new year, not to mention it’ll take the heat off a bit during the holidays. I’ll still be here on notes and still be writing—but if I do write anything it’ll be scheduled out so I can get a bit of a backlog going!
Thank you all for sticking with me through 2024! I am excited to see what 2025 brings to Gibberish and to you!

What I’m Working On
I wrote my Writing Exercises as usual! You can find those as part of The Writing Gym. I’ve begun doing Paid Subscriber Chats to talk about craftsmanship and what exactly I was exercising in the weekly exercises.
I also published a couple flash fiction stories this month, which was nice to return to!

challenged me to write horror so this was an attempt at horror.Finally, it’s worth noting again that I am working on a Big Writing Project™ behind the scenes and it’s taking a lot of time, I’m hoping taking December and January off will help me get this thing across the finish line!

Serials?
I promised a serial and didn’t deliver. Life intervenes. I may refocus on smaller projects, or I’ll catch my breath and figure out how to get that serial to you. The idea isn’t dead, just on the back burner.
Collabs?
I’ve got some GREAT collaborations cooking in the background and I am excited to bring those to you. Not gonna give you any more information—you’re gonna have to wait.
