Sometimes God throws us a curveball such that the responsible thing to do is to stop the presses and focus on resolving the challenges God has given us.
I am in the throes of a challenging time. I cannot focus on writing and I cannot let the ongoing, background commitment to you, dear readers, keep me from addressing the challenging time.
Please, pray for me and for a swift, effective, and Holy resolution to these challenges. I am not going away for good. For now—please hold on, please stick with me. I will return.
Sandbox Earth is still scheduled out through the end of April, but my Lunar Awards project will have to pause for now. I haven’t been able to do any writing for it. Maybe by the next Awards Season I can pick it up—and I can resume the updates about that project.
You will still see me in the comments sections around the ‘stackiverse—it’s a good diversion and I still support all of you and all of your writing projects. Just need to dial back my own writing for now.
I recently had to dial my writing back to focus on the end of the semester and my girls. A break is commendable, especially when strategic. I am reminded of a famous Marine quote from the Korean War: “Retreat, Hell! We’re not retreating, we’re just advancing in a different direction.” - Oliver P. Smith, Marine Corps general and commanding officer of the 1st Marine Division, Battle of Chosin Reservoir.
Advance in whatever direction you need, SCOOT! Semper Fidelis.
Oftentimes a hiatus is the best thing! Prayers for a quick resolution.

Thank you very much for this! 🙏 God bless you!
"Advance in whatever direction you need" is a gold line and i'll be stealing it!
No need; consider it yours!
