The 6th marks my official anniversary here. I definitely have a post about it because I'm fairly certain it's mandatory and in the terms and conditions. ;)
Anyways, congrats on all you've done here. I'm glad we connected and I enjoy reading you.
Congrats! Looking forward to the weekly exercises again! And once again, I have to say, I love your narration of the Good Guys. Relistening to it now, and Boston Saint Mike gives me such joy. The best way to start the new year. :)
I'm glad you've been enjoying Essay Club! I'm enjoying doing it, it's a good way to get snapshots of a great writer's thoughts.
It's interesting, people talk about writer's block, but many of the writers I see on Substack are working on multiple projects at once, and publishing regularly. I think having a few things going at once is the trick - that way when one project stalls, you can switch focus to another one.
Iβm looking forward to reading g your works in 2024! I can totally relate to being overwhelmed by the amount of works I want to read. I think my goal for this year is to choose about six people to follow very carefully, read all their work, and build community with them. Perhaps after some practice with a small group, Iβll be able to expand my circle.
Congrats on a year of publishing fiction! I feel like 2024 is a good year for us to work together once. Can you keep your eyes peeled for such an opportunity, assuming you're interested?

You know thats a good thought! I wonder if thereβs something to it! Mental βtackingβ back and forth to make forward progress, kind of!
That's a good way to put it. And for me, and apparently many on Substack, having just one project on the go is like sailing directly upwind!
Hung, yes.

I didnt intend to do that but its happening in practice because i am a limited human being. Thats a great idea!

Absolutely! Sci-Friday feels like a natural overlap, let's make something happen!
Afterthought--can you please shoot me an email, or share yours? We can at least get a conversation started. substackscoot@gmail.com!
Thank you!
I feel like even the saints with lowercase sβs have tapped me on the shoulder a few times. They often want me to write about them.
