Ahh, l'amour. (Maybe not: I'm terribly suspicious of Armin's father and I can't help wondering if the as-yet-unnamed woman is some sort of setup. I could be wrong, though.) I *definitely* think Armin's father is working an angle. I have a suspicion about that, but I hesitate to say.

Hmmm... so the whole thing with Mary ends suddenly and with a wimper, not a bang. I'm disappointed.

I like the 'don't even know her name' beginning, altho I can't say I like the main character at all. The letter format is very interesting. Hard to keep the tension going, I would think. I will be interested in seeing where it goes.
