Stoked to be a reader this time for the Gibberish writing competition! Last year was phenomenal and helped me so much as a writer. And helped me connect with a lot of your fine people on Substack. Good things all around!
Yes—I need something to promote! I want to discover *and amplify* and itll require you to publish your work publicly for each challenge. Now is the time, Chantal!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I read the Tao of Pooh like 30 years ago, and it was amazing!
Keith Ferrazzi does a good job of overviewing how to network, although parts of the book sort of bothered me in like a 48 Laws of Power sort of way. Still, plenty of good stuff mixed in there and "best practice" tips.
Like all self help books, you kinda have to filter the stuff that only works if your name is Keith Ferrazzi, and keep only the stuff that works for you. Theres been some good ideas though!
My favorite bit that i remember from Tao of Pooh was that maximum joy is achieved one moment before dipping into a pot of honey, so streeeetching that moment out is like a secret to contentment. I misremembered it but that was beautiful language.
I always suggest people listen to recommendations made by John Ward. he's quite astute. 😄
Good to hear from you Scoot!

I stopped reading self-help books when I realized I am beyond help.😉
I feel like I asked you this last time, but do you need to be posting your fiction publicly on a Stack in order to participate in the contest?

Let me amend this—you dont have to be publishing RIGHT NOW but you do have to create a fiction stack if you dont have one so i can promote that.
Alrighty, I’ll have to think long and hard about it. I’d like to enter this time, so in the off chance that I get selected, I’ll need a battle plan.
🔥🔥🔥 MORE FICTIOOON!

The concept is A+. That moment really is the best... although it's also really great for that first moment when you taste the honey, too.
LOL agreed!
