Oooh, spooky. Very nice ending. Shouldn't have messed with the skull, you guys!
1. Highest point: unless one counts the two plane flights I've taken, it's probably Mt. Pinnacle in Little Rock, Arkansas . Lowest point: the Louisville Mega Cavern, which used to be a mine and is now a tourist attraction. Each Christmas they do a massive light display underground that you can drive through and see by car. We did it for the first time last year and it was so cool.
2. There's the tomb of the first Bishop of Louisville, Benedict Joseph Flaget, beneath the Cathedral there. I've seen that. I don't know that I've seen any other relics...
3. Some; we've got family coming, and we'll be watching the "Turkeys Away" episode of WKRP in Cincinnati episode at some point. Beyond that not as yet really. :)
Love the feel of this story. They better not touch that skull!
1) I think my highest point was leading a mission trip in the DR, where the diocese we served was on a mountain point. Lowest point: I visited some caves, once in Tennesse and another time in Lebanon. Idk which one is lower, though.
2) I saw a handful of relics when I studied abroad in Italy, but the most vivid relic (and honestly kinda unsettling for me) was the head of St. Catherine of Sienna in Sienna - uncorrupted. The rest of my group was utterly fascinated, lol.
3) My parents are visiting me for the weekend, and we'll have dinner at my coworkers house! After that, we'll explore the area. No details are set yet.
They're waiting below the ground, to punish the world that sealed them up and forgot.
1. I got to 10,000 feet on a hike in Colorado once. Lowest is boring old sea level.
2. I once saw a medieval sketchbook in a museum. They turned the page every 3 months. That's my definition of a relic.
3. I'm halfway across the USA and at a new job, which means no PTO. For the first time I will not be with family for thanksgiving. So I'm going to chill on my own and be thankful.
I like the open-ended, yet decidedly ominous ending!
Highest and lowest places I've been are actually very close to each other: Mt Whitney in CA (drove pretty near the peak), and Badwater Basin in Death Valley (lowest place in the US).
And we're doing our big family Thanksgiving dinner this weekend, so I get to have two great meals!

I love it! Glad my post provided some inspiration!
