Yeah, I doubt that Omer actually killed himself. (I thought *I* was going to write the romance/murder story?)
So I'm guessing this will end in either a full-scale mutiny that gets interrupted by aliens invading the ship. Or the captain corrals those loyal to him and then sends out a nerve gas to kill everyone else, thus allowing him to go off into the uncharted space.
Whatever happens, I'm pretty sure it ain't gonna be good for the passengers, but I am looking forward to it.
Great story! It's getting scarier by the minute, though. Lost in space with a maniacal captain at the helm (or whatever the equivalent would be on a spaceship). I'm looking forward to part three!
That was absolutely heartbreaking from start to end. The whole conversation where Ariel and Omer was so real and well framed. I could see exactly where both of them were coming from and the tragic misunderstanding that they couldn't get past. For part 2 to end where it did... Ouch. Eagerly awaiting the finale.
A great second story for this serial! I felt like I jumped right back into where the first left off. There’s a good bit of mystery and intrigue going on, and I can feel the tides shifting. Excited to see where the next goes!
Ow. I did not expect that ending. But Teela or Roman did it. Ahem. I also leapt to mutiny right away. All the captain needs to do is roll some metal balls in his hand…
I seem to be the only one who took Omer's death at face value looking at the other comments, all depends on the content of the letter and how believable it is. Since it's the point of discussion here, can't think of a motive for murdering Omer specifically for anyone in the cast, feels too early for murdering to conserve food. Oh, unless he was killed for being a protie.
Also appreciated a character named Ariel talking about making their voice heard.
....whoa.
I did not expect that.
You captured the emotional dynamic between them very well.
I have to wonder: was it Omer all on his own making the choice, or ... something else out there that got to him?
Wow.

After all that emotional investment I made over them, HOW DARE YOU???
So many suspicious happenings are afoot!
