1. Of late I like to chill, catch up on reading, watch Gotham or Columbo or whatnot. We've instituted Sunday board games which is all very well until the kiddo beats us solid at Monopoly Jr. :)
2. AVENGERS DOOMSDAY. But as that's a few years down the road, I'll settle for the fall season generally when it stops getting so hot and the trees start changing color. Good times.
3. Ice cream, strawberry or vanilla, although occasionally if I'm in a certain kinda mood I like a milkshake.
I go back to old movies, ones I've seen a ridiculous number of times and just enjoy the nostalgia. I give myself permission to do nothing as I watch over several days. I also go offline, spend more time in meatspace. Disconnect.
Hope you feel refreshed soon, but more importantly, content in all things in all times!
Everyone feels this from time to time- thank you for sharing and being so open! My favorite comfort foods mashed potatoes and homemade bread- no, I am not 500 lbs! 😊 i like doing sort of solitary things to reset- nature, drawing, reading, writing. I find people to be draining somewhat- I read somewhere that an introvert draws energy from being alone and an extrovert vertigo draws energy from a crowd- definitely an intro here. Take care, Scoot, and best wishes for a good week of getting back in the swing of things 🤗🙏🏼✨✨
Ever read Burnout Society? it's by Byung-Chul Han. Really interesting and short book about burnout culture. Not that you're part of that or anything -- your post just reminded me of the book!
Hang in there and make sure you take all the time you need to recharge!
1. I've just come out of a very busy and stressful time moving back to Scotland. In the week since being back, I've been getting over jet lag then a virus that I picked up somewhere along the way, as well as the underlying transition. I've been moving very slowly, spending ages just standing or sitting there looking at the sea, or the trees in the garden, just absorbing the fact of being here. Or I've spent hours reading a novel, or just wasting time playing games on my phone. Or sleeping. Lot of sleeping.
2. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends here in my hometown and beginning to rebuild life here.

Sometimes I like to recharge by just being a lazy sob, Netflix all day type. A tummy comforter food of Chinese or wings.

No idea how the word ‘vertigo’ got inserted in my response- weird! 😆🤣

3. Toasted cheese. Or fried potatoes.
1. Go for a hike. 2. Visit Yellowstone National Park in a few weeks and 3. tapioca.
